Entrepreneurship

An undergraduate study in entrepreneurship is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to start and manage their own businesses.  The goal is to prepare students to be self-sufficient, innovative, and capable of navigating the challenges of starting and growing a business.

OTHER USES OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Non-Profit Leadership

Through entrepreneurship study students gain the necessary skills to lead or start a non-profit organization to address social or environmental issues.  The leadership and problem-solving skills taught through the lens of business translate seamlessly to the world of non-profits and advocacy.

Freelancing / Consulting

Apart from their own ventures, students will also be able to serve as freelances or consultants for other business startups or ventures.  Students will have the skills and experience to offer specialized services and advice independently.

Education and Training

A critical facet of giving back to the community is through sharing skills, principles, and practices with others.  Studying entrepreneurship empowers our students to teach others in pursuit of taking control of their own time and careers.

Corporate Innovator

Our entrepreneurship curriculum prepares students to drive new projects within already established companies.  Development of a new product or business idea does not always come to fruition as its own business venture.  Students will be able to serve as innovators taking new ideas and growing them within existing businesses.

Entrepreneurship & Sustainability

Learning entrepreneurship is a powerful tool for promoting sustainability.  Entrepreneurs look for innovative solutions to problems, which oftentimes include developing sustainable products or services.  Learning about sustainable business models and practices is at the core of helping future entrepreneurs create eco-friendly companies.  Our entrepreneurship philosophy aligns with the triple bottom line.  We emphasize focus as entrepreneurs not just on profit but also on people and the planet, a key concept in sustainable entrepreneurship.
