Sports Management
The Sports Management major program at Chatham will help you prepare to start your career in the sports industry. You will learn everything about working in the sports industry—through courses about managing sports organizations at all levels (schools, community, collegiate, professional, etc.), working with athletes of all levels, organizing and managing sports events and venues, working on law and ethics in sports, doing budgeting and finance, accounting, marketing, and analytics in sports.

Non-Profit organizations have a major presence in the world of sports, and therefore there is a need for leaders to carry on the important work that these organizations do. Students will have the knowledge and skills to support non-profits in the world of sports from a managerial or operational standpoint.
Data Analytics
Analyzing data is a crucial area of sports management and is frequently utilized in the world of sports as a whole. Students gain an understanding of how to analyze and interpret data. This skill is applicable to a virtually unlimited amount of industries outside the scope of sports.
Talent Acquisition
The world of sports is one heavily intertwined with networking and self-advocacy. One of the rewarding parts of sports management is the opportunity not only to pave your own career, but also to extend avenues to others.
